Going green(er)

Well as the title suggests, I'm going a little greener! Well actually, I'm not, cause green doesn't really suit me, but Nice Knickers are. It's just a little change, but everything makes a difference, right? So, what am I talking about? New packaging... The pretty pink tags with the pretty pink ribbon were nice, but also quite expensive and not really very green, so I've made a change to my packaging. Each pad will now come with it's own small wrapper/tag, made from 100% recycled paper and taped with biodegradable tape.

And, organic pads are on their way! I'm just waiting for some more fabric to arrive, but in the new few weeks I'll be launching my new organic range. These will be pads made exclusively from hemp/organic cotton, or bamboo/organic cotton with a little hemp/org cotton, and all stitched together with organic cotton thread. Have I mentioned they'll be organic?! They won't have PUL layer (but will have more absorbent layers to compensate) and won't be dyed or have fancy prints, cause in most cases, that means adding chemicals. But they will be the same high quality as all my pads and good for you and the planet.

What prompted the organic range?? Well, I'm glad you asked! I have some exciting news - Nice Knickers will be in a real life store as of next week! The store is Alfalfa House and it's in Enmore in Inner West Sydney. It's an amazing little store, full of organic and local produce and I'm sooooo happy that they are the first store to stock my products. If you're in Sydney, go check them out - they are doing very good things!
